Jason

I wish I could say watching my little sister get married brought on this huge smile on my face. But I can’t. In truth, I don’t remember a thing about Megan’s wedding ceremony other than she took a page out of Sage’s book and had the couples stand together, spread out along the front of the church instead of guys on one side and girls on the other.

This means I get to stand by Ella for the whole ceremony. Her hand on my arm, her body leaning against mine, and I soak in every minute. I watch her as she watches the wedding. Every time she looks up and catches me looking at her, she blushes, and it’s so damn sexy.

Megan has the wedding at the ranch church on the east side of the property. This church has been here for generations and has been brought back to life as Sage and now Megan both have gotten married here

After Megan and Hunter’s kiss, I walk back down the aisle with my girl, and we head out for photos. Her parents are never far away from us the whole time. When photos wrap up, I get a bit nervous.

They’re having their reception at the event barn on Mom and Dad’s side of the ranch. This is where we not only have the yearly sale but have also seen many events for family and friends. Riley and Sage both had their receptions here, so it was a natural choice for Megan too. This is also the barn where I saw Ella for the first time several months ago.

The barn is the largest on the ranch and set up for events not for animals any longer. It was the original barn on the ranch but when it needed some massive repairs Dad built the new ones but never had the heart to tear this one down because of all the history it holds. It was Mom’s idea to turn it into an event space when I was about 8 and it’s been that way ever since.

Ella and I walk into the reception hand in hand, and I still can’t find it in me to wipe the smile off my face. She’s the most beautiful girl in the room in my completely biased opinion.

“You want something to drink, sweetheart?”

She smiles up at me. “Yeah, just a sweet tea. I’m going to find my parents.”

“Okay, I’ll join you in a few minutes.”

I head to the bar and order two sweet teas for us and watch Blaze and Riley walk up to us. Blaze pulls Riley in front of him and rests his hands on her baby bump and kisses her temple.

“So, where’s Ella?” Riley asks.

I nod off to the other side of the barn. “She went to find her parents.”

“So, is everything set?” she asks.

“Yeah, I’m nervous, but Megan is so excited. You’re going to use your baby bump and play defense, right?”

Blaze growls, but Riley laughs. “You better believe it.”

“Good luck,” Blaze says, and he and Riley head to their table.
